We are a small winery in Fuentecén, on the Burgos side of Ribera del Duero. We recover old vineyards and make authentic, elegant, small-production wines from their grapes.

Terroir
Very different soils within a few kilometres.
Sand, loam and clay with stones, on slopes facing south and south-west. Bush vines and trellised vines depending on the height above the river. Our Tempranillo clone comes from a massal selection of La Tejera, the family's century-old vineyard.

A vintage that ripens early.
We follow ripening plot by plot and compare it with the Regulatory Council's control plots. On 10 September, those in our area showed 13.7% potential alcohol, almost two points above the average of recent vintages on the same dates.
